You are right the new editor is hateful. Yet possible to arrange things. Click "Design" top right of the page / OR / Click "Edit" below the post. In the list of the posts, click the title of the post to redesign. Click on the image that is larger than expected and the image gets a bluish color and on the bottom appear signs to redesign: Click on the " - " sign once and once more if you like. The image gets smaller. Then click out of the image and see what it is like. Then on top right click "Update". That's all.
